WHY A LITTLE MORE TWO-STROKE OIL?

Two-stroke oil provides hydrodynamic lubrication of the bearing. Due to the 'rolling' movement, a 'ball' or 'barrel' of the bearing pumps the two-stroke oil under itself, causing it to float on the oil film. Because the tolerances of bearings, connecting rods and piston pins used to be larger, they have more play. Additional play can also occur due to wear. That is why a somewhat thicker film layer of oil is often necessary. Ideal for the large two-stroke engines of old motorcycles and motor scooters from before 1970, such as the Vespa motor scooters.
