The all-new Spark features our patented Integrated Suspension Technology.
Not only does this make for a fantastic looking bike, it also allows us to really improve the bike's suspension.
We can design frames with lower shock placement, which lowers the center of gravity. The result is better handling and a
more stable, confidence-inspiring ride for the user.
It will also absorb shocks if the weather and therefore the course deteriorates!
We designed the Spark to have two main construction zones: a stiffness zone and a lightweight zone.
By strategically placing carbon reinforcement in the stiffness zone, we can afford to really save weight in the lightweight zone.
Some parts of the frame are thinner than a credit card!
SYNCROS FRASER IC
Integrating the cables presents a number of issues and the Fraser is designed in part to address these.
Syncros designers worked on the shape to route the cables under the bar and around the sides of the stem, before disappearing into the headset with integrated plastic parts to keep it clean and efficient. This prevents any bends or kinks in the cables and creates a minimalist front end.
All our handlebars and stems come with multiple options for computer, light and camera mounts both above and below the handlebars.
CROSS COUNTRY GEOMETRY
Looking at the frame layout in general, we have taken years of feedback from the world's fastest athletes to develop the geometry of the new Spark RC. One of the main goals for
the bike would be a design with around 120mm of suspension travel front and rear.
Having more travel for the increasingly technical courses was a priority. The result is the most capable XC race bike ever, and the lightest on the market with 120mm of suspension front and rear, coming in at just 1870g with the shock.
TWINLOC SUSPENSION SYSTEM
The Spark features our TwinLoc Suspension System.
The TwinLoc suspension system is a patented SCOTT suspension system that works via a handlebar remote control.
The remote control gives the user the option to choose from three options (Descend, Traction Control and Lockout) to effectively change the bike's geometry, suspension damping and spring curve simultaneously.
Our new lever brings all of the bike's controls together in one place, making them easily accessible while riding.
DEVIL IN THE DETAILS
Many other small details make the Spark RC really THE bike to have. It has space for two water bottles, integrated axle tool and very smart frame protection.
Our development team really made sure to maximize the value of this bike and they more than succeeded!
